During the first week of October, the celebration of the XVII Exhibition of Frozen Products of the Sea CONXEMAR will take place (from 5th to 7th, October) and also the congress that FAO co-organizes with CONXEMAR (October, 8th and 9th) and that this year will coincide with the 20 anniversary of the Responsible Fishing Code of Behavior, which makes Vigo becoming the World Fishing Capital, providing a meeting point for the total sector of transformation, distribution, importation and exportation of the frozen sea products.

The first journey will focus on the Industry, with the participation of first level speakers that will provide information about the world production and their view about the state of the stocks by family and species, as well as the present situation of the market and the consumption.

Second journey will be more focused on the public sector. A meeting between Fishing Authorities from different countries will be held to discuss about the blue growth.

As new, after 2 years of absence, Canada will return to the exhibition with their own hall. And Turkey, Indonesia and China will participate for the first time.
